Another day in paradise here at Comedy Examiner HQ, which means another 'round of Fun With iPhones. This is Fun With iPhones volume 69 (no giggling), which means that we're right on the cusp of having produced a full 70 installments of this in-no-way-original series. My, how time flies. Wanna see how we've chosen to celebrate our 69th installment? Hit the "Slideshow" box on the left (be aware, though: we've bleeped the text-in-question, but this one does contain some NSFW-ish material). Wanna know what's going on in Comedy Examiner Land? Hit the paragraphs below. Make your choice, my gentle Examiner readers...
Second Warning: We've edited the hell out of today's Fun With iPhones, but that doesn't mean that it might not still be considered scandalous by some. With that in mind, here's a tip: don't go clicking on the "Slideshow" box if you're offended by naughty words, even if those naughty words have been heavily bleeped. There's no profanity on display here, but...well...there it is. The sensitive have been warned!
Well, folks, here we are: another calendar year. Earlier this month, we made a few stabs at getting "back to work" here at Comedy Examiner HQ-- we even talked about the fact that we were trying to get "back to work" within these articles, which might just mean that we're getting too meta for our own good-- but nothing seemed to take: there always seemed to be something else going on, always seemed to be some new errand to run, some new chore to complete, some movie screening to attend. Despite our best efforts, we've been consistently work-blocked (to coin a phrase) by our own outside-of-work schedule.
But all that's over now. At least, we think it's over now. We've made this claim before, and so you're probably rolling your eyes as we speak. But: seriously. Seriously, now. We areseriously getting back to work, and-- from where we're standing-- 2012 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting years Comedy Examiner HQ's had yet.
Hell, even the first quarter's going to be good: in February, we've got a number of movie reviews and interviews to throw your way (we're just gonna pretend that January didn't happen, especially as it pertains to film: have you seen the crap they're putting in theaters right now?), and in March, we've got the SXSW Film Festival to cover...along with a super-secret surprise bit of coverage that you'll be very curious to read, indeed.
Funny Photos, meanwhile (which remains the most popular feature at Comedy Examiner HQ), will continue to work as it has for the past few years. We updated our Funny Photo submission process late last year, and the response was so great, we're going to go ahead and leave that unchanged: as always, you can send in your (non-profane, non-racist, non-violent) Funny Photos to ComedyExaminerFunnyPhotos (at) Yahoo (dotcom), and we'll have our mail-order intern, Geraldo, look over each and every one. If they're good enough to be featured here at Comedy Examiner HQ, they'll end up in one of those endless "Slideshow box(es) on the left" we're always going on about.
Today's batch is over there on the left as we speak. Maybe it's a Funny Photo (or two) that you sent in yourself. Why not click on that box now, see what your fellow Comedy Examiner readers have come up with? But before you do, remember: we're serious this time. We are back on track, ready to bring you your daily doses of nonsense from deep in the heart of Texas, and we will not rest until every last one of you are satiated. Or until the Mayan Apocalypse of 2012 hits, whichever comes first.
Click the "Slideshow" box, see Funny Photos, laugh, rinse, repeat.
