Fun Spot Kissimmee erects 250-foot Skycoaster (Photos)

Orlando is a great place to vacation and enjoy the best of world famous amusement parks. On Saturday, Feb. 23, Local 6 News reported Fun Spot, a lesser known but very popular local attraction in Kissimmee, Florida began construction of their 250-foot “Skycoaster” as part of their park expansion. Although it’s not the largest Skycoaster in the area, it has changed the skyline and will bring in thrill seekers just out of curiosity. The expansion of Fun Spot USA in Orlando and Fun Spot America in Kissimmee will be revealed in phases over several years with the Skycoaster’s grand opening this June 8.

Fun Spot is known for their goofy yet memorable Orlando television commercials that emphasize it as being huge! Well now their slogan is that they are getting huger. With all that Orlando has to offer with Disney’s four main theme parks, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and Sea World, it’s a wonder how this little known park has survived the competition.

Fun Spot is a less expensive alternative for both visitors and locals to enjoy rides and games for all ages, toddlers to adults. Even if someone in your party does not wish to participate in any of the rides they are still allowed free admission into the park and arcade area. There are new video games along with classic games like centipede which is only a quarter to play. Their annual pass is less than $120 a year and they have occasional specials which can’t be beat by the mega amusement parks.
