Fun ideas for back to school lunches

School starts up again soon for Mankato area students and other schools around Minnesota have already started.  If you're looking for some fun and healthy lunchbox ideas, here's a bunch of them.

Bento-logy:  This blog features a different healthy, whimsical bento-style lunch every day.

Shortcut-ables:  Here's instructions to make your own little healthier (and cheaper) lunchables, using cookie cutters and tiny muffin tins.

DIY Pizza Lunchables:  Here's another cheaper, healthier lunchables idea.  This one is to make your own little mini pizzas for kids to assemble.  Best of all, you make a whole bunch in advance in their own little packages and then keep them in the freezer until you need them.

Whole Wheat Pita Pockets:  Here's a recipe for DIY pita pockets, which you can fill with any fun fillings your kids enjoy.

Mini Taco Cup Kits:  These little kits come with homemade taco cups that kids can fill with their favorite Mexican fillings.

Rainbow Bento Box:  This mom was really ambitious in this beautiful lunch, but parents with a little less time on their hands could still use her ideas for a colorful, healthy lunch.
