You might be just ready for a break from activities during the holiday season, but you might also need to get some shopping or other things done and if that is the case, Santa Clarita offers a lot of winter camps which can be used for your kids to enjoy while you get some necessary things taken care of . I found out about some of the best bargains, especially if you register early. Here are some fun ones in order of the dates. Act fast on some of these since they are next week already!
Sarah Peterson is offering 2 fun workshops at her home in Newhall next week. On Monday, Dec. 12, she has “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Camp” from 10am-3pm and on Tuesday, Dec.13 is “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town Camp” on Tuesday, Dec. 13 from 10am-3pm.
Just to give you an idea of the kinds of activities planned, here are the details for the Rudolph camp and the Tuesday camp will be just as much fun. Activities will include autographing a camp t-shirt, Watching Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, making reindeer food, lots of reindeer games, scavenger hunts, a game avoiding the abominable snowman, decorating a Christmas tree cake and a Christmas candle craft.
Price per day: $25 and $10 (material fee)

Then in the weeks following, Elizabeth Johnson, Sonia Kurfess, and Elizabeth Rydall, will be facilitating some other fun camps.
Though there is no specific theme the kids will be in a positive learning environment and be encouraged to create, discover, and work/play on teams. There will be lots of free play time.

SCV Tutors/CARE Learning Center offers another great camp from Dec.26-Jan.13 with lots of enrichment activities, such as Science & Math activities, Writing camp, Arts & Crafts, Cooking, Community Outreach, and more. I will be teaching an entrepreneur workshop as part of it as well. If you register before Dec.15, you will receive $25 off the camp price. You could sign up for just a few days or half days.
