Football season is over, but that only frees up your schedule to go out more! Fields Family Wines, with two locations in Lodi, has a full calendar of events lined up to keep you busy this month, with activities for everyone (over 21) to enjoy!
The next event taking place is this weekend, February 9th and 10th. In fact, over 40 Lodi wineries will participate in this one - Lodi Wine and Chocolate Weekend! Tickets are available now, $45.00 in advance and $55.00 the day of the event. Fields Family Wines will have something different going on at each of their two locations. Visit the Estate Winery at 3803 E. Woodbridge Road for wine and chocolate pairings, live music, art and a self-guided tour. Stop by the downtown tasting room, at 20 N. School Street and sample pound cake dipped in chocolate balsamic vinegar, white chocolate chip brownies, and see a live demonstration of hand painted wine glasses by artist Sherry Zeigler.
The following Sunday, February 17, artist Sherry Zeigler will be downtown again. This time, she'll be hosting an artist reception featuring her work, from two to six, during the Sunday One Day Art Show. Also, any custom orders placed during the Wine and Chocolate event can be picked up that day. This event is free to attend.
In between appearances by Sherry, Valentine's Day appears on the calendar. For a very special Valentine's Day dinner, why not treat yourselves to a four-course wine pairing dinner at Scooters California Grill and Catering Company. For $60.00 per person, Scooters and Field Family Wines will collaborate on four courses, from appetizers (starting at 6:00 p.m.) to dessert. Seating is limited. Third Thursdays of the month are '80's Trivia nights at Fields Family Wines downtown tasting room. Join in the fun on February 21st, as two teams of four go head to head to see how much they remember about that iconic decade of music, movies, food, games, and events. There are two rounds, and the winners of each round go on to the final challenge of the night. This event is free to attend. Teams are forming - join a team or get one together - by signing up at the tasting room, Thursday through Sunday, after two p.m.
As if that wasn't enough, Sunday, February 24th, Fields Family Wines gives you the chance to show off your glitz and glam at their Big Red and Black Oscar Ball. Come dressed in red and/or black (the theme of the night) and get your chance to walk the red carpet. There will be appetizers, wine specials, and the 85th Academy Awards will be shown on the big screen. You will also have a chance to see how well you can predict the winners! Fields Family Wines is open from 11-5, Thursday through Sunday at the Estate Winery on Woodbridge Road, and from 2-7, Wednesday through Sunday (til ten p.m. on Friday and Saturday) in Downtown Lodi on School Street. Each location is different, and both are well worth a visit, for their fun atmosphere and events, and for their award winning wines!
