If you haven't made any Easter plans yet, it's not too late. There are a number of fun, family-oriented activities in the South Bay still open for this weekend, from breakfast or brunch with the Easter bunny to egg hunts to outdoor church services. Here are just a few possibilities:
- Breakfast with the Easter Bunny at Ruby's Diner: The Rolling Hills location in the Promenade at the Peninsula is hosting breakfast with the Easter Bunny on Saturday, April 3. The breakfast features a free photo with the Easter bunny, a treasure hunt and other Easter-themed activities. Kids eat free at one of two dining times: 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Kids meal tickets can be obtained at Ruby's. Adult tickets are $10 each for breakfast (free if the adult doesn't eat at Ruby's).
- Brunch at the Portofino Hotel & Yacht Club in Redondo Beach: Enjoy a delicious brunch oceanside (click here for the menu) on Sunday, April 4. Brunch hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. While you dine, the Easter bunny will visit to hand out treats and take photos with the kids. Prices are $49.95 per adult, and $19.95 for children ages 4 through 11 (free for kids under 4). Parking is complimentary.
- Big Tent Easter Service at Hope Chapel in Hawthorne: Hope Chapel is hosting a community Easter service on Sunday, April 4 at 10 a.m. Lunch will follow.
- Easter at El Prado Park in Torrance: The Old Torrance Neighborhood Association is hosting its annual Easter celebration for children age 11 and younger at El Prado Park at 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 4. Highlights include a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Bunny (in a bright blue bunny mobile), a bunny hop, and the Easter "egg" (candy) hunt.
