On Jan. 7 the Grammy nominated band fun. debuted their new song "Sight of the Sun" on Rolling Stone's website. The song is featured on the "Girls – Volume 1" compilation album, which is the soundtrack for the HBO original series "Girls". You can listen to fun.'s new song "Sight of the Sun" here.
The compilation album "Girls - Volume 1" was released on Jan. 8 via Fueled by Ramen. The soundtrack features songs from such artists as Robyn, Grouplove, Sleigh Bells, Fleet Foxes, and Tegan & Sara.
"Music is such a huge part of my creative process,” explains "Girls" creator Lena Dunham in an issued press release. “I make playlists to write by and listen to as I head to set in the morning, and I experiment in editing with songs that the characters would love and that accurately reflect their struggles.”
This is the first original song that the American indie rock band fun. has released since their Grammy nominated album, "Some Nights". The album was released on Feb. 21, 2012 via Fueled by Ramen.
