Fun awaits at the Celtic Lands Culture Festival

'Tis the season for Irish and Celtic festivals to be in the spotlight. If you love all things Celtic then plan a journey to the Cincinnati Museum Center's free 14th annual Celtic Lands Culture Fest being held on Saturday, March 9 and Sunday, March 10.

Celtic Lands Culture Fest Offering visitors a chance to learn more about the Celtic lands' history, traditions and culture, this annual event will feature lots of family-friendly and educational activities for all ages to enjoy. The Festival will take place at various areas of the Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal including the Grand Rotunda area, the museum concourse, Reakirt Auditorium, the Cincinnati Dining Room and the Duke Energy's Children's Museum.

There will be performances by various Irish dance groups in addition to performances by Scottish Highland dancers and a variety of Celtic music groups.

Other activities include a harp workshop, a staging of William Shakespeare's 'MacBeth," crafts for the family (make your own Celtic craft to take home), a chance to illuminate a letter and listen to Bardic tales from storytellers.

The Festival will also feature a Celtic Lands Marketplace where visitors can purchase authentic Celtic merchandise.

Hours for the Celtic Lands Culture Fest are noon - 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free. There is a general parking fee of $6. Admission to any of the surrounding museums is extra.
