The Greene Turtle’s Tuesday night kid’s night, which is being offered year round at the Olney, Maryland location and has been quite successful and lucrative to the franchise. According to Manager Josh Schartman,” The Olney, Maryland Greene Turtle gets more kids in the door than any other location due to the free kid’s meals and the face painting which is done by Fairytale Princess Events”
Fairytale Princess Events is a child themed birthday party event business. Owned and operated by Heidi Emmer, the birthday packages include one or two princesses dressed up in costume and they run a two hour birthday party for young children ages four to twelve or so. There are other packages so please check the website for Fairytale Princess Events.
Heidi brings all her own equipment to the party such as music, entertainment, and treasure chests for games and lots of energy and enthusiasm for the children. The only thing the parents need to supply is food, and cake plus a space for the kids to run around in.
Heidi brings all the face paint and brushes to the Greene Turtle every Tuesday evening in assurance that all the kids will be happy with the special designs on their faces. She has been training in face painting for over four years and she is capable of some pretty cool designs, please see slide show for a visual on her expertise in face painting. "The Greene Turtle's a neighborhood hangout. That's why we do our best to help out in the communities where we live - with special events, team sponsorships, our famous Funds For Friends program, and more.
And it's not just a corporate commitment. The talented people who work at The Turtle are encouraged to become personally involved in the community. You'll see us coaching teams, attending Chamber meetings, donating tips to Toys for Tots and/or working soup kitchens - we're up for whatever it takes to make our communities better places to live."
There are thirty-seven Greene Turtle restaurants in the Maryland, Delaware and Virginia area and a new one was just built in Franklin Square, New York. The menu offers many different seafood options along with the standard hamburger and chicken selections. They make a crab dip served with pretzels that is out of this world down in Ocean City, Maryland.
They have several beach front locations in Rehoboth beach, Delaware and Ocean City, Maryland.
Their alcoholic drinks are very well made, it is a well-known fact that you cannot taste the alcohol in many of their rum punch beverages and then suddenly driving is very much out of the question. The Long Island Iced Tea is a dangerous concoction, one that sneaks up on you and then you need to find an activity to sober up. It is always a nice option to have a drink for the non-driving parent at these events.
