Grammy nominated fun., the first artist to secure nods in the top four categories, "Song of the Year," "Record of the Year," "Album of the Year" and "Best New Artist" of the six nominations they received. Their "Most Nights" summer tour, announced on Feb. 4, 2013, will be fun.'s biggest trek to date and will feature both indoor and outdoor venues. Tegan and Sara will open most of the shows.
The North American tour will be followed by an extensive international tour that will bring fun. to Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, the Netherlands, France, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, and the United Kingdom. These additional dates have yet to be announced.
A pre-sale, limited to fun. and Tegan and Sara fans, will occur on Feb. 6 at 12 p.m. until Feb 14 at 10 p.m. (venue local time). American Express Cardmembers will also be able to purchase pre-sale tickets. General public sales will begin on Feb. 15 or 16.
Given their string of sold-out shows in intimate theaters, a move to larger amphitheaters is a natural transition. Their recent show [review] in Madison, Wisc. was quick to sell-out and saw many fans turned away at the door due to a lack of tickets.
The Ally Coalition will be supported by a portion of each ticket sold. The coalition is a partnership created by the band and designer Rachel Antonoff devoted to encouraging and inspiring the music, fashion, and entertainment communities to take action in support of LGBTQ equality.
