A rug can be made using a variety of different craft methods including sewing, crochet, knitting, canvas rug, and other methods. There are many styles and colors of do-it-yourself rugs that are available to create from free patterns and purchased kits.

Let’s start with an easy rug to make using pom poms and a rug canvas grid. The pom poms can be made using yarn or can be store purchased. A colorful rug is made by tying or attaching the pom poms to the canvas. View the free easy to make pom pom rug tutorial and instructions here.

A Fleece Shag Rug is made using fleece fabric, a rotary cutter and some thread. Add your imagination to make the rug in a variety of colors to match any room.
