Halloween 2011 is right around the corner. If you are a parent, you can be sure that you want your child to enjoy this special occasion. But if money is tight, you may be thinking about what to do during October 31.

That is why you should consider making your own Halloween costumes for your kids. You can make some quick and easy costumes for kids with old clothes and junk you have around the house. Here are some fun ideas that can help you save money.

1. Superman or Supergirl Homemade Halloween Costume for Kids

Every kid loves to play at being a super hero. If you don't enough cash to buy a super hero costume, you can make one at home. First, get an old white t-shirt that you were thinking about throwing away. Next grab a red marker and draw a great big letter S on the front.

Then add some cloth to fill up the socks. Find a way to attach all the filled-up socks together so you will then have a lion's tail that you can clip on to the pants in the back.
