The Sundance Film Festival is right around the corner, literally two weeks away, and there will be no hotter ticket in all of Park City than the debut of Gareth Evans' bare-knuckle sequel, The Raid 2. The sequel to 2012's cult smash The Raid (The Raid: Redemption here in America) promises to be bigger, badder, and bloodier than the original, and now a new full-length Indonesian trailer is here to show us just how far it's going to go.
Picking up where the first film left off, Rama (Iko Uwais) is barely given a moment to breathe before he's back undercover to root out more corruption, which means breaking the bones of a few hundred baddies. A sweeping operatic score kicks the plot into gear, but before long guys are fighting on moving cars, blind chicks are battling in subways, there's some sort of mud-soaked battle royale, and in general folks are getting effed up in all sorts of different ways. Basically it's exactly what we want from The Raid 2, only a lot more of it.
Don't sweat it if you can't make it to Park City because The Raid 2 hits theaters soon, opening March 28th 2014.
