For the 12th year in a row, the folks at Lone Wolf Tattoo and Body Art are serving the needs of Nashville's horror loving community with the Full Moon Tattoo and Horror Festival, happening Mar. 29-31 at the Nashville Convention Center.
This year's lineup of guests promises to be the biggest in festival history. In addition to the dozens of tattoo artists and filmmakers appearing at the festival, there will also be appearances from actors in such iconic horror franchises as The Exorcist, Walking Dead, Friday the 13th, Halloween, and more.
Here are some of the most notable guests appearing at this year's Full Moon Tattoo and Horror Festival:
While Linda Blair's career has spanned over 40 years of movies and television work, she will always be best known for her role as Regan MacNeil, the possessed child from one of the scariest horror movies in history, 1973's "The Exorcist."
A secondary character when "The Walking Dead" premiered, Norman Reedus' portrayal of Daryl Dixon has propelled him into the spotlight as the undisputed fan favorite. Shots of Reedus with his trademark crossbow have become synonymous with The "Walking Dead" and this season's reunion with loose cannon brother Merle has provided even more dramatic meat for Reedus to sink his teeth into.
Sean Patrick Flanery and David Della Rocco
Flannery and Rocco, along with Norman Reedus, were the primary characters in cult classic "The Boondock Saints" and "The Boondock Saints II." While initially not making a major splash at the box office, The Boondock Saints has exploded in popularity on the video market, becoming one of the 21st century's first major cult hits.
Sid Haig's distinctive look and voice have made him a character acting staple since the 1970's. He finally became a household name as the star of a pair of Rob Zombie directed movies, "The Devil's Rejects" and "House of 1000" corpses.
Wrestling Legends
The Full Moon Tattoo and Horror Festival always features a strong lineup of legendary wrestlers from the '80s and '90s and the three appearing this year have been responsible for some of the most iconic moments in WWE, WCW, and ECW history. Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Diamond Dallas Page, and Raven were all main event players for the big three wrestling organizations, showing up prominently in highlight reels for all three companies.
The Men Behind the Masks
This year's Full Moon Tattoo and Horror Festival features a number of men who you'd never recognize on the streets but who any self respecting horror movie fan has seen a thousand times. These are the men behind the masks of some of horror's most famous monsters. Brad Loree donned the modified Captain Kirk mask to play Michael Meyers in "Halloween: Resurrection." Steve Dash was the very first man to portray a pre-hockey mask Jason Vorhees in "Friday the 13th: Part 2." Ken Kirzinger portrayed Jason Vorhees in the monster meetup "Freddy vs. Jason." CJ Graham portrayed Vorhees in "Friday the 13th Part 6: Jason Lives."
Other notables making an appearance at the Full Moon Tattoo and Horror Festival include "Walking Dead" and "Devil's Rejects" star Lew Temple, "Friday the 13th Part 1 and 2" star Adrienne King, actress and model Stacey Dixon, "Walking Dead's" Bicycle Girl, Melissa Cowan and many more.
Tickets to the Full Moon Tattoo and Horror Festival run from $45 for full weekend passes to $15-20 for individual day passes. They can be purchases here.
