Full Moon Hike at Ansonia Nature Center January 30th

The Ansonia Nature Center in Ansonia, CT will be hosting a Full Moon Hike and Fire on January 30th at 5:30pm. Hike the trails at the nature center under the full moon while listening to sounds of nighttime wildlife in the crisp winter air. Dress to suit the weather and wear comfortable shoes. Bring a flashlight and some marshmallows for toasting. PRE-REGISTRATION ONLY! The event is FREE and recommended for 6 years and up with adult.

The Ansonia Nature and Recreation Center is a town owned and operated park. Use of the facility is free and open to the general public and visitors are welcome daily from sunup to sundown. Previously a family-owned dairy farm, the park is a 104-acre nature preserve of wooded hills and grassy fields. The property includes  streams, a two acre pond, wet meadows, and an upland swamp. A portion of the park has been dedicated to recreational fields and several acres are reserved for community gardening.
The center offers nature-oriented classes to school-age children on weekdays and hosts evening and weekend programs for adults and their families.
