Full Figured Fashion Week opened recently the submission process for both male and female models.
The production, spearheaded by Gwen DeVoe, is considering new and agency female runway models for shows on Wednesday, June 16 and Saturday, June 19. Male models are needed for the show on Thursday, June 17. The deadline for model registration is April 9.
Models who live outside New York are encouraged to apply and can submit a video clip of their runway ability upon submitting the written application. Only models with runway experience, the ability to attend a closed casting in April, and at least one fitting in New York City can participate.
The five-day, New York affair is arguably the nation's largest and most anticipated showcase of models, retailers, and designers of the plus community. Full Figured Fashion Week serves as a fashion platform to demonstrate the significance of the plus size apparel market. Independent designers, boutique and retailers of plus size fashions will be in attendance.
This year's itinerary will feature fashion shows, including its first ever show of big and tall men, vending opportunities, a shopping trip, and panel discussions for models and industry professionals. Names of featured designers and panelists will be released closer to the event.
