Full 2014 Olympic event schedule for Feb. 8

The first full day of Olympic competition will begin on Feb. 8 with events in biathlon, cross-country skiing, figure skating, freestyle skiing, ice hockey, luge, ski jumping, snowboarding and speed skating. Sounds like a full day, doesn’t it?

Figure skating will continue with the team competition, which began two days earlier on Feb. 6. Likewise, snowboarding also will continue with the men’s slopestyle event which also began on Feb. 6.

The women’s ice hockey tournament will kick off with a game between the United States and Finland, and speed skating will begin with the men’s 5,000-meter event. Women’s moguls and men’s luge also will begin on Feb. 8.

Below, you’ll find a full schedule of the events slated for February 8. All times are local Sochi times, and schedules are subject to change.

Biathlon
Men’s 10-kilometer sprint, 6:30 p.m.

Cross-Country Skiing
Women’s skiathlon (7.5-kilometer classic + 7.5-kilometer free), 2 p.m.

Figure Skating
Team, ice dance short program, 6:30 p.m.
Team, women’s short program, 8:10 p.m.
Team, pairs free skating program, 10:05 p.m.

Freestyle Skiing
Women’s moguls, qualification 2, 6 p.m.
Women’s moguls, final 1, 10 p.m.
Women’s moguls, final 2, 10:35 p.m.
Women’s moguls, final 3, 11:10 p.m.

Ice Hockey
Women’s prelim, USA vs. Finland, 12 p.m.
Women’s prelim, Canada vs. Switzerland, 5 p.m.

Luge
Men’s singles, run 1, 6:30 p.m.
Men’s singles, run 2, 8:40 p.m.

Ski Jumping
Men’s normal hill individual, qualification round, 8:30 p.m.

Snowboarding
Men’s slopestyle, semifinals, 9:30 a.m.
Men’s slopestyle finals, 12:45 p.m.

Speed skating
Men’s 5,000-meter event, 3:30 p.m.
