Fukashima fallout beginning to wreak havoc on U.S.

In the article, “Fukashima fallout sickens U.S. babies?” author Anne Hurley writes that studies are finding that babies born in certain areas of the US after the Fukashima incident are 28 percent more likely to suffer “congenital hypothyroidism” than children born in those same areas one year earlier during the same time period.

Many in the natural health field (and others) realized that nuclear fallout was pretty much inevitable in West Coast states and British Columbia because the debris was headed that way both in the ocean and the air. Some even shared protocols for protecting ourselves from radiation despite the fact that very little was reported by mainstream media about the widespread impact.

The biggest cause for concern is the thyroid gland. Thyroid cells are the only cells in the body that can absorb iodine. A test for measuring thyroid function is to measure how much iodine is taken up by the thyroid gland (RAI uptake). Cells of the thyroid normally absorb iodine from our blood stream (obtained from foods we eat) and use it to make thyroid hormone, which is necessary for many critical bodily functions. The test is performed by giving a dose of radioactive iodine on an empty stomach. The iodine will be concentrated in the thyroid gland or excreted in the urine over the next few hours. The amount of iodine that goes into the thyroid gland can be measured by "Thyroid Uptake".

Iodine is a halogen like chlorine, fluorine, etc. and as such, can be absorbed through your skin. If you go out in the rain, and that rain carries radioactive iodine, it will be absorbed the minute it hits your skin and “taken up” by the thyroid. If you swim in ocean water contaminated by radioactive iodine the same thing occurs, just like if you swim in a pool filled with chlorinated water.

One theory to prevent this from happening is to proactively saturate yourself with iodine so you don’t absorb the radioactive kind. If your thyroid receptor sites are full of beneficial iodine from dietary sources and supplements, they won’t be able to absorb the harmful radioactive kind.

Supplemental iodine was very popular in the 1920’s & 30's and was added to things like flour and salt to help correct deficiencies. But that is not the case anymore and in fact; iodine intake has declined 50% in North America in the past 30–40 years. Iodine also had a reputation for killing almost every pathogenic organism on contact.

The sea vegetable “Kelp” is a natural bioavailable form of iodine that comes in many dietary and supplement forms. Chlorophyll is another excellent way to purify and neutralize toxins. There are many iodine supplements as well and if you want to learn more -you should work with a knowledgeable health care professional to find what is best for you.

Zeolites have been used for over 800 years to neutralize any neutron reactors from nuclear waste. All nuclear waste that has been buried in the earth is surrounded and contained by zeolite foam. Liquid zeolite is a powerful detoxifier used to rid the body of heavy metals and toxins.
