Fuchsia Fever

With Spring in full effect, it is time to ditch your dark hued lip colors for something a bit brighter! One of my favorite colors for this season; is a crisp, blue-toned fuchsia. This shade instantly brightens your face and it makes your teeth look incredibly white -- definitely a win-win situation! Another perk of wearing fuchsia this Spring, is that this shade is reminiscent of Pantone's 2001 Color of the Year, which was Fuchsia Rose, and it is also very similar to this year's pick -- Radiant Orchid. If you are not familiar with Pantone, they are the corporation that oversees all things related to color! They have color codes for all of the 'official' colors for many brands, institutions and organizations. From Columbia Blue {Pantone 290} and NYU Violet {Pantone 2597 c} to the NFL's current champs {Pantone 298, 368 and 429}...just say a name and Pantone has a color code!

Add a touch of pizzaz to your Spring Fever with Fuchsia Fever .

Foray into fuchsia with a few of these picks...

Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Lipstick in Fuchsia Fever. I have been wearing this lipstick every day for the past two weeks. I receive endless compliments when I wear it, and I do not know why I never wore this shade prior to two weeks ago! It is a beautiful, true fuchsia.

MAC Cosmetics Lipstick in Girl About Town. This is a classic MAC shade. It is described as a bright blue fuchsia, and it can be worn year round.

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Anarchy. It seems as though this is particular shade is quickly turning into a 'cult favorite' lipstick. It is always out of stock at my local Sephora and Ulta stores. It is described as a bright fuchsia. They even have a matching lip pencil -- also bearing the same name, to boot!

OPI Nail Lacquer in Flamenco Pink. I have been rocking this color on my toes for the last week, and I am loving it! This shade screams happy! Cue Pharrell...

I hope you will consider adding a bit of fuchsia to your world this Spring!
