Redlight PR, along with Ilaria Niccolini Productions, hosted a press preview for FTLA Moda 2014 at their showroom in the Flatiron District. This preview showcased a variety of Italian designers that are exploring further growth in the US marketplace. It included handbags, eyewear, jewelry, accessories, men’s dress shirts, and women’s apparel. Each designer offered a unique element with the design of their products.
Here’s a look at the various designers that were onsite. Save My Bag showcased a colorful line of bags and accessories that are all made out of Lycra and are washable. Galà featured high-end blouses predominantly made out of silk and cotton in a range of contemporary styles. Mosaïque and Swamp presented their colorful and comfortable lines of scarves, socks, and shoes. Mondelliani showcased a line of fun eyewear in a wide range of colors that features a signature mini-lens as its trademark. LaMiaMe featured a line of jewelry accessories in the shape of a doll that one can dress up or down to fit one’s personality. Erika Regondi showcased a line of handbags that is adorned with elegant jewelry. Jamal Taslaq exhibited a line of elegant couture that exudes an appreciation for music. Lastly, Silvia Massacesi displayed a line of crafty, eco-friendly handbags made from cork and recycled paper.
FTL Moda closed off this season’s New York Fashion Week with a runway show consisting of all of these Italian designers. Ian Ziering was one of the runway models and the show definitely carried a lot of energy. Bright colors, edgy looks, and playful prints lined the runway. What an entertaining way to end Fashion Week!
