Fort Wainwright Military Police are asking the public to come forward with any information they might have regarding the death of a 3 year-old on post last week.

The child was found dead at the family home April 4.

Mystery has surrounded the incident as law enforcement was reluctant to release any details until charges had been filed. Wednesday the Army finally charged Sgt. Nathaniel E. Ulroan, 23, with kidnapping, assault and the premeditated murder of his son.

Now these same officials are reaching out to anyone who was at the Fort Wainwright Shoppette and gas station between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. on April 3.

Ulroan was treated at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital for undisclosed reasons following the incident and then immediately taken into custody by military law enforcement.

No details have been released regarding the child's death. It is unknown where the child’s mother was at the time of the incident.

Ulroan is currently being held at Fairbanks Correctional Center pending an Article 32 hearing to determine if there's enough evidence against him to warrant a court martial.

The main phone number on post is 907.353.4243. The Provost Marshall’s office is 907.353.7535.
