Ft. Hood Soldier dies while scuba diving on leave in Hawaii

Sgt. Chester G. Stoda, 32, of Black River Falls, Wisconsin, died Sep. 2, 2011, from a non-combat related incident.  He was assigned to the 8th Engineer Battalion, 36th Engineer Brigade, Fort Hood, Texas.  

US Army’s Forth Worth press center released information that Sgt. Stoda died on leave while he was scuba diving in Kauai, Hawaii.

Sgt. Stoda was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.
