I have heard people tell me stories about how they sliced their pineapple and served it with the core still in! Let me share with you an easy way to slice it and not have to chew on a hard core:
With a large serrated knife:
- Slice off the green stem
- Cut pineapple down the center (long ways).
- Cut straight down each side to cut out the core.
- Cut each piece of the pineapple into 2 pieces (long ways).
- Remove outer skin from each piece.
- Cut each of those pieces into 2 pieces (long ways) and then cut into chucks.
Easy!
