You can do some spring cleaning and have an inexpensive spa treatment for your hands at the same time. Whether you're doing dishes, or scrubbing floor panels or other tough cleaning tasks, all you need are your cleaning gloves and a bottle of good lotion. You can find the gloves at Williston Liquidation Center (the store formerly called Mr. G's and still called Mr. G's by locals) or other discount stores. The pink pair in the picture were 99 cents at Williston Liquidation Center recently. You can use your favorite lotion, or buy some at Bath & Body works hand creams or body lotions/creams when they are buy one get one free (complete your receipt survey for another $10 off your $30 purchase.) The triple moisture body cream by Bath & Body Works is a great choice for your spa treatment--the bolttle in the picture was purchased for about $2 at last season's semi-annual sale.
Before you get started on your cleaning tasks, wash your hands. Put on an extremely generous amount of your body lotion, rubbing it into your hands. There should be some excess when you do this. Next, put on your favorite pair of cleaning (or dish) gloves. Make sure it goes all the way up your forearms so that you don't have cleaning solution or dishwater going into the top and ruining your spa treatment.
Finally, get some cleaning done. Clean your dishes, scrub your floor panels, even get up close and personal with the floors that have been through winter and mud season. When you finish, you can sit back with a great satisfaction that comes with a job well done, and the knowledge that your hands are now moisturized and silkly soft.
We want your comments. What are your favorite brands of lotion? Where do you find them for the best prices?
