Frugal Fun in Denver this Week, June 18th

There is no shortage of frugal fun this week, Denverites. Keep your wallets safe and dry this weekend, as there is a veritable plethora of things to do on the cheap.

1. PrideFest: Saturday and Sunday in Civic Center Park, Denver

2. Cruzin' Havana Car Show & Poker Run: Saturday, Havana Street, Aurora


See a parade of over 5000 classic cars cruise up and down Havana. Visit the five festival stops and roll the fuzzy dice for a chance to win a $25 gas card. Live entertainment at all festival stops, including a live broadcast from Crusin Oldies AM 950. Register for the Poker Run and win a 50 inch HDTV or cash prizes from $200 to $500 dollars. 3. Juneteenth Celebration, Saturday, Five-Points Neighborhood, Denver


Denver has one of the largest Juneteenth celebrations across the country. Celebrate the Emancipation of the slaves in the historic Five-Points neighborhood. For more info, click here:

4. Greek Fest, 4610 E. Alameda, Denver CO, Friday, Saturday and Sunday

5. Denver Area Farmer’s Markets, Various Locations and Days


The Farmer’s Markets are in full swing. Various days at various locations, the Farmer’s market is the best way to get intimate with your food. Meet the farmers, bee keepers, and proprietors that make the organic food in Denver the best around.
