Frugal family fun for Jan. 2013

Looking for some activities to do perhaps in the last days of winter break from school or just looking for some things to do in this cold weather here's some ideas:

Home Depot Kids Workshop -Once a month kids can come build a project for free this Sat. Jan 5 9 a.m. -12p.m. it's a birdhouse! You can check out their website for more information.

Lowe's Build and Grow -Similarly kids can also build a special project at Lowe's for Jan it's Sat. Jan 12 at 10 a.m.and it's a mystery project! Please see their website for more information.

Philbrook's 2nd Saturday -With free admission to the Philbrook Museum of Art, family friendly art projects, and more. Sat. Jan 12,2013 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Please see their website for more information.

Stay at home activities -In addition to these ideas you can make some homemade "Winter play dough" with this recipe and adding in some sparkly glitter and maybe even a 1/4 tsp. peppermint extract after it's cooled down.
