‘Frozen’ wins Best Animated Feature

Walt Disney’s animated film “Frozen” won Best Animated Feature.

Best Visual Effects went to “Gravity,.” While I thought “Gravity” was a good film and certainly deserves this particular Oscar, I believe the film itself fell short at the end.

“Helium” wins for best live action short.

“The Lady in Number 6” Won for best documentary short. Alice, whose story is in this film, died this past week, was the oldest living Holocaust survivor. I whole heartedly agree with the choice of this film, it is amazing.

Next presenter, Brad Cooper, who announced the best feature length documentary and once again “20 Feet From Stardom” won the prize. They also took the Indie Spirit award yesterday. It’s a great documentary, but it’s crazy that “Black Fish” didn’t get a nomination.
