This September, the Frozen Hot Chocolate 10/5k, presented by RAM Race Series, will come to Austin for its inaugural race event as part of its nationwide tour.

Runners of all ages are invited to join in on the fun on Saturday, September 6 at the Circuit of the Americas. Runners can choose to participate in either the 10k or 5k course, both of which are USATF-sanctioned courses and certified for accuracy. The 5k will begin at 7:45 a.m. while the 10k will kick off at 8:15 a.m.

Registration for the run starts at $40 for the 5k and $64 for the 10k. Runners receive a goodie bag with a technical tee, choice of sunglasses with case, drawstring backpack and finisher mug. Finishers of the 10k race will also receive a medal, which is a gold-wrapped chocolate bar imprinted with a Texas longhorn.

All participants will also be able to enjoy their finish in the race with frozen hot chocolate at the finish line, along with fondue and dippables. A DJ will also be performing during the post-race party, which will feature a Kid Zone with inflatables and games.

Described as America's "Sweetest Race," the Frozen Hot Chocolate Race Series will be available in 15 cities across the U.S. in 2014, including Atlanta, Minneapolis and Philadelphia. The race raises proceeds for the Ronald McDonald House, its official charity partner.
