'Frozen' heading to Broadway after huge box office success

"Frozen" is heading to Broadway after pulling in such great numbers at the box office for the past several weeks. Less than 24 hours after the film won the Golden Globe for "Best Animated Feature," execs decided to keep the trend going and send the show to Broadway. The movie alone has grossed over $669 million and it has become Disney's #1 animated debut... ever.

The film has been very popular amongst children and adults alike. With a catchy soundtrack that will have songs like "Let it Go" and "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" stuck in your head for days, it makes complete sense that the movie be turned into a theater presentation -- and you know it's going to do really, really well.

Disney's "Frozen" has had wild success in the new age of musical theater on screen. Fans begged for Disney's "Tangled" to be turned into a Broadway production and although that didn't happen, there is something really special about "Frozen" that made the decision pretty easy.

As far as a timeline, there isn't one. The execs want this to be perfect and it may take a year or longer to get the production in order. Will you be taking a trip to the Big Apple to see "Frozen" live?
