Not even an entire day has passed since Andy Reid was officially fired by the Philadelphia Eagles, but you know what they say; another man's trash is another man's treasure.
The move reunites Kevin Kolb and Andy Reid, no word if either feels so good about it.
Tim Ring, the sports director at KTVK-TV in Arizona, has reported that the Cardinals are very close to hiring Reid as their next head coach.
ESPN.com's, Adam Schefter reported, "one league source said he was "95 percent" certain former Eagles HC Andy Reid will wind up coaching the Cardinals."
The news was further verified when NFL.com's JasonLaCanfora, No shortage of sources telling me that Andy Reid will be having a press conference in Arizona by end of the week.
Reid held the Philadelphia Eagles head coach position since 1999 and was the longest tenured coach in the NFL. He led the Eagles to five NFC Championship Games, including four consecutive appearances from 2001-2004 and to Super Bowl XXXIV in 2004. He brought the Eagles to the playoffs nine out of 14 times and had a winning percentage of .603 during the regular season.
The Cardinals reportedly interviewed their own defensive coordinator, Ray Horton who satisfied the requirements of the Rooney Rule.

To make matters more interesting, the Cardinals are slated to travel to Philadelphia and play the Eagles in 2013.
