From making Alvin to seeing Scrooge or the Frog Prince what to do in Hoover this week

Tis the season for Hoover kids to start having half days and then be out of school for two weeks and the season for Hoover moms and grandparents to try to figure out how to keep Christmas-hyped children occupied.  It is a good thing you live here in town, because there are many activities available.

A great way to spend the afternoon and get in the holiday spirit (pardon the pun) of things is to take some time to go to the BJCC and see Scrooge. This production is a very entertaining and professional rendition of the classic tale.  Hurry though as the last public performance is tomorrow!

For less secular fare - check out Shades Mountain Independent for The Best Christmas Pageant ever Sunday at 10:00 am, or Green Valley Baptist Church's worship celebration IMAGINE, Saturday and Sunday night at 6:30 pm

If you are still in the shopping mode, today, Build-a-Bear Workshop at the Hoover Galleria is featuring Alvin of the Squeakquel fame and his pals starting today.  Holiday Hours start the 14th, with most stores open until 10:00 PM.

Of course, there is always the Rave, where you can see Disney's newest - the Princess and the Frog which also started today.

Unfortunately, you are too late to see It's a Wonderful Lile at the Hoover Library, but be sure to continue to check both here and their web site for other holiday events.
