This weekend is the 10th annual Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion festival in downtown Bristol. Bristol is so proud of the success of this festival, and it continues to grow. This year looks to be even better, breaking the records of all previous years of the festival. However, according to the announcement made on Facebook today, you must leave Fido at home.
The Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion Facebook page posted the following announcement today.
"Please, No Pets at BRRR! We love pets. That's why we ask that you leave them home! The festival is not pet friendly, no green space for them to potty, lots of people and noise. None of our indoor venues allow pets so there is no relief from the heat. Please, leave your pets at home!"
It is unclear whether the ticket holders with pets will actually be turned away or just shunned. However, the reaction has been basically favorable on Facebook tonight. Eight hours after the announcement was posted, showing up on the news feed on the pages of 9,207 fans of this page, there were already 26 comments posted. It also had the "thumbs up" from 25 people.
The downtown area is blocked off for the festival, and a few comments referred to people who live downtown needing to walk their dogs. While there has been a rise in loft living downtown, it is not likely that there would be that many people needing to walk their dogs during the event.
