From Facebook: Homeless women and their children find hope at KARM

Knox Area Rescue Ministries is right on the front lines in the battle against homelessness, hopelessness, and despair in the Knoxville area. Their many faceted ministry is mentioned often on Facebook. You might scroll through and see a request for diapers or twin size blankets during a cold spell. On Thursday, January 26, KARM, as they are called, held a dedication of their newly-expanded overnight shelter for women, Hope Haven.

KARM reminds us that women are the fastest growing portion of the homeless population. They will now have the space to accommodate 100 women instead of just 40. There will also be space provided for interacting with these women and helping them find the direction that they need.

If you want to keep up with the news and needs at Knox Area Rescue Ministries, be sure and visit the KARM Facebook page. It helps if you pass on the posts for specific needs, such as the current need for Size 4-5 diapers, by clicking "Share."
