Coastal Contacts features great deals on a regular basis, so check their Facebook page to stay updated. A prescription is needed, but there is no requirement to send it along. Nor does it have to be recent, so you don't need an office visit to get glasses. You might want to grab some extra glasses for an emergency. The information from your prescription is necessary along with a measurement from pupil to pupil. This is easily done with a ruler, using the milimeter side. My pd measurement, for instance, is 60.
If you want to keep the cost at $10.00 total, it is necessary to choose the cheapest lenses and uncheck any options for lens treatments. You also cannot get bifocals for this price, so I got glasses for driving and church with only my distance prescription.
These glasses frames are designer frames, not ugly frames from the cheap box. They arrive in a nice package with a great hard glasses case and a soft case, too. With so many people out of work in Northeast Tennessee, this should be a welcome deal to pass on to friends. There are not too many people, even those employed, who now have vision insurance. Even though there are a few new firms locating in the Tri-Cities area, most of these jobs do not have benefit packages that provide vision insurance.
