From Cronuts to Chocolate Chip Cookie Milk Shots

A couple of months ago, New York was under a severe cronut frenzy. If you don't know what a cronut is, it's a croissant-doughnut hybrid that was introduced to the world on May 10, 2013 by famed Chef Dominique Ansel. Lines were out the door and around the block from his 189 Spring Street location for weeks and weeks with everyone trying to get their hands on one of these new dessert items.

Now that cronut frenzy has died down just a little bit (there are still lines and a 2 cronut per person limit in store and a pre-order list that's constantly sold out), Chef Dominique Ansel has created the next new thing: Chocolate Chip Cookie Milk Shots. If you're guessing what that could possibly entail, it's as simple as you think. A chocolate chip cookie is shaped into a shot glass and then filled with milk. Unfortunately for us New Yorkers, this new treat is going to introduced at SXSW this coming Sunday and will be limited to that event only for the time being. Hopefully it's not too long until Ansel brings it to his New York bakery and the rest of the world can see what the chef genius has up his sleeves.

If you're going to SXSW, make sure you try out this new dessert at the Allison+Partners event on Sunday. Everyone else, we can just take pleasure in the good old combination of warm cookies and milk out of a glass.
