A frog photobomb was caught on camera as the LADEE spacecraft was lifting off. The thrust of this rocket sent this frog flying into the air and a camera at NASA caught the creature in flight, according to UPI.com on Sept. 13.
The LADEE rocket took off from the Wallops Flight Facility on Virgina’s Eastern Shore. The facility is in the middle of a wildlife sanctuary and the rocket is surrounded by swampland and water to buffer the noise of the rocket.
It is believed the frog, one of many living in that habitat, got close enough to the rocket that it was caught in the power of the rocket thrust sending it flying into the air. The picture has gone viral as the silhouette of the frog is clearly defined against the back drop of the rocket’s bright flames.
NASA posted the image and reports, “The condition of the frog however, is uncertain."
