'Fringe' series finale sneak peek: Windmark tries to question the Child Observer

Yes, "Fringe" is coming to an end with a two-hour series finale, but, if a clip released by FOX on Tuesday, Jan. 15, is anything to go by, it's going out with a bang—and Windmark is about to learn that just because Michael looks like a child, he has no idea what he's dealing with.

In the two-hour "Fringe" series finale, "Liberty/An Enemy of Fate," Olivia (Anna Torv) will be embarking on a dangerous, otherworldly journey into the unknown as the team engages a desperate plan. Then, in the second hour, Broyles (Lance Reddick) will be joining Peter (Joshua Jackson), Olivia, Walter (John Noble), and Astrid (Jasika Nicole) for the final, extraordinary battle against the Observers in their attempt to save the world.

Photos, which you can see here, tease both episodes and do show Captain Windmark (Michael Kopsa) meeting with Commander (James Kidnie) to decide the Child Observer's (Rowan Longworth) fate, and that meeting could very well be because of what happens when he tries to question him, as seen in the video here. It's something that Windmark couldn't have predicted, but what will happen when they run those "complete and thorough diagnostics"?

The "Fringe" series finale airs Friday at 8 p.m. on FOX. How do you think it will end?
