FRINGE REVIEW: 101 Rules for Dating

One fourth of everything you need to know about dating is revealed in "101 Rules for Dating (Of Which You Will Hear 20 or So...)," another Fringe show in the guise of an educational seminar.

With a multi-media show projected on the screen behind them, Drs. Megan Venzin and Emily Althaus use their personal experiences from elementary school forward to help the audience navigate the treacherous waters of developing and maintaining a relationship. The duo spent months, maybe even weeks, studying to achieve their medical credentials in the science of love and they have the white lab coats to prove it.

Although some of the material seems irrelevant to the subject, particularly the sing-along portions of the program, and although they seemed to run out of steam and resorted to improv exercises to fill out the hour, "101 Rules" is a quirky look at the battle of the sexes, although their advice is sometimes suspect. It is possible, for instance, to find a worthy mate on the Internet.

Come to think of it, their advice is pretty much crap, but any show that has a couple of hot young chicks in lab coats, count me in.
