‘Friends With Benefits’ co-stars Mila Kunis, Justin Timberlake create video PSA
New! Mila Kunis Facebook group and follow on Mila Kunis Twitter
On July 6, 2011, Friends With Benefits co-stars Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake released a video public service announcement that not only promotes their movie but makes a plea for social media networks to add a new relationship status choice: FWB. The status is for those who classify themselves as friends with benefits. For those who are unfamiliar with the term, friends with benefits are those who choose to remain friends yet have sexual relations in order to meet their friend’s needs. There are no commitments, no ties and no expressions of love; just a pure sexual encounter without the usual “trappings” of a standard relationship- both good and bad.
Justin Timberlake begins the PSA by stating, “We’re here today to talk about a very serious issue.” Calling the friends with benefits crowd an underserved population, Justin Timberlake asks if the viewer is aware that there is no social media status option for those who describe themselves as such. Mila Kunis interjected by asking why those in a casual sexual relationship are finding their voices denied.
Like the stunt the two pulled at the MTV Movie Awards, the PSA has plenty of hands on action and finishes with Justin Timberlake getting down on his knees as if he is performing a sexual act on Mila Kunis.
You may see the PSA in the video player to the left.
Friends With Benefits hits theaters on July 22, 2011.
