Friends show support for family by organizing fundraiser

During the most difficult times of our life, it is our family and friends that we lean upon for support. One local family is lucky enough to have the support of an entire community.

Jennifer and Michael Watchorn, parents of Brenden and Caitlin, have been leaning on their support circle for the past few weeks. In November, Jennifer and Michael became the proud parents of Nathan. Within minutes they learned Nathan had medical complications that were insurmountable. A few short weeks later, Nathan lost his fight. During the short time of his life, the medical bills mounted while Jen, Michael and their 2 children had to deal with their loss.

Family and devoted family-friends have proven what it takes to show support and mean it. On January 18, 2013, at the Amherst Eagles Hall, there will be a fundraising benefit in Nathan's honor. The tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for 6-12 year olds, 5 and under are free. The cost includes a spaghetti dinner, beer, wash, and entertainment. There will also be a cash bar as well as a silent auction.

The community is invited to come and show support of the Watchorn family and show them that no one has to deal with loss by themselves. Have a good meal and enjoy the company of friends while helping support a local family financially and emotionally.
