Mark your calendars, booklovers! The Fall Book Sale benefitting the Seattle Public Library is scheduled for Saturday September 24 from 9 am- 5 pm and Sunday September 25 from 11 am- 4 pm. The sale takes place at Warren G. Magnuson Park, 7400 Sand Point Way N.E., Hangar Building #30 and The Brig.
Over 250,000 books, CDs, DVDs, VHS, audio books, and art prints will be for sale. Most hardcovers are $2 each, paperbacks are $1. Special sets, rare books, and other special items priced as marked.
The insider tip: Become a member of the Friends of Seattle Public Library for $15 at the FriendShop at the SPL's Central Library before 5 pm on September 22 to get access to the Members' Preview of the sale on Friday, September 23. The preview gives members (don't forget your green member pass!!) a chance to buy up to 25 items before the rest of the deal-hunting public even gets to see what's on offer. Memberships will be availabe at the door for access to Friday night's preview starting at 6:30, but they're $30-- twice the price.
