As the summer days rapidly heat-up, The Museum of Discovery and Science’s auxiliary group, Friends of MODS, is preparing to host their final celebration of the season before gearing up for the fall. On Monday, June 9, the group will “Wine Down” at Las Olas Wine Cafe , located at 922 E Las Olas Blvd.
The Las Olas Wine Café is a place to enjoy great times, great friends, and great wine! This new hidden gem features an extraordinary selection of the finest wines, a delectable lunch and dinner menu and small plates and desserts to gloriously satisfy the palettes of wine tasters and late night music lovers.
“The Wine Down event is the pinnacle of the successful Friends of MODS season, from the Chill at the Grille, Sweet Soiree, to Cocktails and Catching Fire, each event brought its own unique forum of lively entertainment, exquisite food, and overall vibrant atmosphere – and provided significant support for the museum’s internship programs,” Museum of Discovery and Science President/CEO Kim Cavendish said.
The mission of Friends of MODS is to provide the Museum of Discovery and Science with financial support, volunteer service and community awareness. They encourage members to take a hands-on role in the Museum through participation in fund raising events, volunteer opportunities and by serving as goodwill ambassadors throughout the community.
Wine Down is complimentary for current Friends of MODS members and $15 for guests, who can can register to become members of the Friends of MODS group that evening. The event includes wine, hors d’oeuvres, raffle prizes and a festive atmosphere.
