On Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, Friends of MODS hosted their first-ever Wine & Culinary Crawl. Over 40 Friends of MODS members enjoyed traveling in a luxurious private bus on Las Olas Boulevard to Grille 401, Solita, Johnny V, and Mancini Modern Italian, meeting the restaurant owners, sampling wine and fabulous appetizers, and savoring the great company.
Friends of MODS members enjoyed a taste of what is going to come from four of the nearly 50 restaurants scheduled to present delectable fare at the 18th Annual Bank of America Wine, Spirits & Culinary Celebration happening April 5, 2013, at the Museum of Discovery and Science. One lucky Friends of MODS guest took home a new Kate Spade evening bag as the winner of the evening’s raffle. The Wine & Culinary Crawl was so successful that Friends of MODS plans to add more Wine & Culinary Crawls to their 2013 events.
The Wine & Culinary Crawl was a prelude to the Museum’s acclaimed 18th Annual Bank of America Wine, Spirits & Culinary Celebration that will take place on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. This year’s event will showcase a sequence of wine and spirits with food pairings, each bound to delight, educate and entertain guests and their palates. The highlights of the evening are tastings from nearly 50 of South Florida’s leading restaurants and a vast array of wines and spirits from around the world, courtesy of beverage sponsor Southern Wine and Spirits. There will also be an assortment of craft beers to sample. Guests will also have an opportunity to bid on and amazing collection of silent auction prizes. Each guest will receive a complimentary Riedel wine glass.
