For fans of actor and comedian Tracy Morgan the day started off on a sober note with the news he had been critically injured in a six-vehicle accident in New Jersey early Saturday.
According to his publicist Lewis Kay 'his condition was not expected to change' throughout the day. "His family is now with him and he is receiving excellent care."
Known to many from his days as a part of the talented "Saturday Night Live" cast and more recently from "30 Rock", Morgan was riding in a limo bus when the accident occurred in Mercer County, said Sgt. Gregory Williams of New Jersey State Police. The limo bus overturned at the New Jersey Turnpike in Robbinsville, he said. Unfortunately comedy writer James McNair died in the accident.
Almost immediately as word began to spread about the tragedy friends and fans of Morgan took to Twitter to share their well wishes and thoughts.
R&B star Kenny Lattimore (@KennyLattimore) tweeted "Prayers going out to Tracy Morgan!" Rapper/actor Ice T (@FinalLevel) tweeted "Love you homie.. Hang in there! @RealTracyMorgan" Author Anthony Breznican (@Breznican) summed up what many were feeling when he tweeted: "It's a testament to someone's talent that when they get sick or hurt, we hurt too.
