TCM in March wil be airing famed Italian director, Roberto Rossellini's movies. Starting next Friday (March 8) TCM is airing the films during their prime-time schedule which is around 7 pm central time when the movies should be on.
The first film that will be starting off is "Rome Open City," which is about towards the end of World War II Italian underground workers decide to stand up against the Nazi Regime. The last film that will be airing on March 29 that he directed is called "Plaise Pascal" and that will air at 9:15 pm. The film is about the 17th century French philosopher and mathematician, Blaise Pascal. Also would like to note that the movie that ends this 'marathon' is actually, "The Carabineers," but was directed by Jean-Luc Godard not Rossellini, which Rossellini worked on the screenplay. That movie will be airing at 1:30 a.m. after "Plaise Pascal." Other notable movies that will be on during the month of March are,"The Flowers of St. Francis," "Germany Year Zero," "Europa 51, and "L'Amore."
There is no doubt that Rossellini is one of the greatest Italian directors and it's very great news that TCM is airing his movies this month. The best advice is don't miss out a chance to watch some really great cinema. For the official lineup and the times on all of the films please click here: "Rossellini Movies."
