Friday: Rent party at Near East Side Cooperative Market

Since opening its doors a year ago, the Near East Side Cooperative Market has made great progress in its mission to make healthful and affordable foods available to everyone who lives in the Olde Towne East neighborhood. But the food co-op needs some assistance from the community to become financially sustainable in the long term.

On Friday, June 6 from 5 to 9 p.m. the co-op is throwing a rent party to raise needed funds. There will be local meats on the grill, vegan options, raffles, and music courtesy of DJ Abyss. Your support and contributions at this event will help the co-op to keep its doors open.

Here are some more ways you can help:

  • Come by and shop! Make the co-op your first stop.
  • Make a personal donation of $25, $50, $100, or more. Your investment at this time is critical.
  • Consider renewing your membership early. Or purchase a membership for a friend, neighbor, or family member.

The Near East Side Cooperative Market is located at 1117 Oak Street in Columbus.
