Fresno's Adventures in Drumming set to begin Winter session

Fresno's Adventures in Drumming Winter session starts January 15 or 17 (Tuesdays or Thursdays) at 4 or 5 p.m.

Weekly classes are 50-minutes long, and the cost is $130 for seven weeks. Classes are taught by Brenda Myers, MA, Director of the We Got the Beat Youth Percussion Band. Myers has 35-plus years playing professionally and 20-plus years of teaching in Fresno and Clovis, along with a Masters Degree in West African/Caribbean Music and Culture.

Classses are for anyone with at least a kindergarten education (including adults). Participants are asked to bring an empty soda can or empty aspirin-type bottle to the first session.

Also, be on the lookout for the We Got The Beat Drum Camp, coming June 24-28, 2013.
