Whether your dog is strictly indoor, outdoor, or spends time doing a little bit of both, in the summer months the heat can be brutal. Protect your dog by allowing them all access to cool fresh water all times of day, and allowing them to have a cool place to rest. Air conditioning indoors and a shady area outside should do the trick.
You'll know your dog is uncomfortably hot when they pant a lot, whine, pace, or even begin drooling in the summer heat. If this happens, call your vet and get your dog in a cool place immediately. Heat and dogs do not mix!!!
