Fresh Start Monday: American Authors

See also

Start this week off fresh with some upbeat tunes by New York based new band American Authors.

American Authors first met in 2007 while attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Shortly thereafter, they began performing music together, and relocated to Brooklyn. In 2012 they organized under the name American Authors, releasing their debut single “Believer” to critical acclaim. “Believer” went on to win the Overall Grand Price in the 18th Annual USA Songwriting Competition.

You may have already heard American Authors’ second single “Best Day of My Life” in an advertisement or film recently, but if not be sure to watch the charming video for it featuring a rescue dog.

American Authors released their first feature length album “Oh, What a Life” on March 3rd of this year, and have already seen it chart as high as 3rd on the US Rock charts. The band has quickly been skyrocketing to fame, even being featured guests on an episode of The CW’s The Carrie Diaries.

If you want to be able to say you saw American Authors “back when…” then look for them on tour now with One Republic, and get there early so you don’t miss their set! Don’t forget to like their Facebook page while you’re there to check out more about the band.
