Are you looking to save money on fresh fruits and vegetables? Then welcome to Community Helpings Coop, which is a strictly volunteer base co-op run by its members and no profit is made by the groups but plenty of savings are passed on to you.
According to the website “We are a community Produce coop that has started from a few friends hoping to save a few dollars to becoming an amazing community wide coop. We have been fortunate that the coops have had wonderful volunteers to help everyone continue saving money. It is a great way to help others in your community and an opportunity to promote healthy living among our families.”
The deliveries run every 2 weeks to designated group pickup sites, and there are plenty in and around the St. Louis area helping you save money. You can order the popular “Produce Basket” that is two weeks’ worth for less than $25.00. Plus you can get a text message, or email reminder along with recipes on using your basket once you set up your online account.
"We love to support local suppliers whenever possible. Due to our growing seasons here in the Midwest, and our desire to eat healthy year round, we adjust our suppliers throughout the year."
